The weirdest species in my backyard is this Kingfisher! Now I know that kingfishers in themselves are not weird, but having one in the backyard definitely is. Especially when you are a kid who has just moved from the city and never seen a Kingfisher before! What is super weird about him is that he hangs out with our cats and they all hunt mice together like old friends. But I can't get any closer than this to take his photo as he is so shy of people. But I love that I can see him in my garden every morning when I open the curtains, and every afternoon when I get home from school.
