Awhitu Regional Park

Andrew

July 2015

  • In January we went to Awhitu Regional Park. We walked there and found a Spider’s nest with lots of Spider eggs in it; it was fascinating.

There was lots of lovely long grass to walk through and we found treasure from the beach; shells, green mangrove seeds and lots of Pohutukawa flower confetti.

My sister and I jumped off the big jetty into the salty water, then we had a picnic lunch.

We saw a little island not too far from the beach, hopefully we will come back when the tide is out to walk to the island.
